Poem: Oral Sects

Oral Sects

Ram religion down your throat;

They talk and talk,

Tell you what to believe,

But that doesn’t float my boat.

I like to think more freely,

Let my heart witness truth inside,

Observe the living epistles

That bushels cannot hide.

Walk the talk,

Don’t talk the talk;

Let your good deeds do the telling,

And then I’ll know

That the light you show

Is not just religion that you’re selling.
